Update: our room is now awesome. Hank and I have magically transformed an average room into a stunning display of savoir faire, to say nothing of hors d'oeuvres. First of all, we put a futon in and put our clothing cabinets on either side of it. My Pink Floyd and Guitar Chords posters are facing each other, one over the futon and the other over the TV. Then Hank went out and got a bunch of old records, which we took out of their covers and taped to the wall in a checkerboard pattern. Finally, Hank and I went out coffee table searching last week. We didn't find one--'til we came another side road, and at the side of the side road was: a DETOUR sign! We decided that one DETOUR sign was better than a coffee table, so rather than settle for a coffee table we brought the sign with us. It has since been made into an awesome table via four cinderblocks. And we also now have a rug, thanks to the May family. It's amazing to think that, after adding two pieces of furniture to our room, we appear to have MORE space in here.
So's great not being so confined by the coffin-like dimensions of Taliaferro and actually having room to put things in. Hooray for Pleasants 108!

Yaay for you. I am so jealous. My room lacks any sort of creativity. *sigh*

Buy Protest Warrior posters! I have the one with the hot chick on it.
By the way, I've missed you online...I've recently joined the conservative newspaper on campus. From there--internship at NR! Then we can make the nuptial arrangements. :-P

Hey--you forgot to mention that your new rug is an carpet from the Northern sector of Iran and we found it brand new in a "junque" shop which serves UVA students.
It's sooo great to find a new rug.

I still wish you'd found a way to hang the parrot, though. Is there room on top of the cabinet for the cat?

Isn't it great to have a room that reflects who you guys are? Some men never get that...they wait till some woman does it for them. Which, from the woman's point of view, makes the man easier to manage, of course. But it isn't as satisfying...

So good on you!

y'all ought to have a plant or something like that. Maybe a bird or a fish. Something living. Baron Bodissey suggested an aardvark but that's been done already. If I see one more aardvark draped gracefully over a curtain rod....jeez.

Fine, buy us a present: a desert plant that we don't have to water...
